Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Slurry-Works ("we", "us") provides a hydroseeding estimating and bidding application at www.slurry-works.com and as an installable web app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
2. Information you give us
Account details (name, email, company name, password stored as a salted hash); estimate and job data you enter (addresses, measurements, materials, pricing); client contact records you add; job photos, notes and voice notes your team uploads; and billing details handled by Stripe (we never see full card numbers).
3. Information collected automatically
Login and security events (IP address, approximate time, success/failure) to protect accounts; device and browser type; and, only when you use the on-site GPS measurement feature, your device's location while that feature is active. Location is used solely to place measurement pins and is not tracked in the background.
4. How we use it
To run the service (measuring, pricing, PDF quotes, crew job sheets, payments); to secure accounts and prevent abuse; to send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, trial reminders, payment receipts); to bill subscriptions and credit packs; and to improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Service providers
We share data only with vendors needed to operate Slurry-Works: Stripe (payments and subscriptions), Google Maps Platform (satellite imagery, address search), Resend (transactional email), object storage for job photos, OpenAI Whisper (voice-note transcription, audio is not retained after transcription), HeyCatch (product analytics — page views, clicks and sign-up events on our website and app, processed on our behalf). Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms.
6. Cookies & analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (httpOnly session cookies). We use HeyCatch analytics to understand how visitors use our website and app (pages viewed, buttons clicked, sign-ups); it uses a first-party identifier and does not serve ads. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the app. Our marketing pages may use ad-measurement pixels; where required we will ask for consent.
7. Sharing within your company
Company owners control who can see what. Employees invited to a company see job sheets, maps, photos and notes for assigned jobs but never pricing or billing. Quotes and payment links you send to clients contain only the information you choose to include.
8. Retention
We keep account and estimate data while your account is active. If your subscription lapses, data is retained so you can resume; you can request deletion at any time. Security logs are kept for up to 12 months. Payment records are kept as required by tax and accounting law.
9. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data by contacting us. Residents of California, the EU/UK and other regions may have additional rights (access, portability, erasure, objection). We honour these requests regardless of location, verified via your account email.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Access is scoped per company and role. No system is perfectly secure; notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
11. Children
Slurry-Works is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change and material updates will be announced in-app or by email.
